I dig them. But they are one of the stranger bands around. I don't know if they are techno, lounge, jazz, pop, disco, industrial or rock. Or all of the above at once.

Any fans?

I'm a semi-fan I guess. I have Confessions of a Knife, and I've always liked it. However, I saw them open for Ministry once and it was one of the most boring things I've ever seen.

I saw them on their headlining tours in 1998 and again in 2001. Not the greatest live band, but I had a lot of fun people watching.

I've always considered them an industrial band but they'vre really become pretty ecclectic so it's difficult to pigeonhole them.

I love their early material...they kinda lost me though with Hit & Run Holiday. I always dug the sleezy, drug induced sort of murderous Charley Manson vibe they always gave off. That said, I've not heard any of their more recent output other than some random songs.

The only song of theirs I would recognize is After the Flesh from The Crow soundtrack. I've been told by rivetheads who are fans of MLWTTKK that that song sounds nothing like the rest of their stuff.

They would be correct...

They've been kind of stuck on a Hit & Run Holiday vibe for quite a while now (2006's The Filthiest Show In Town is honestly a fusion of Sexplosion and H&RH - I dig it). They still have the heavy bass and the thumps, but some albums have more samples and horns than others. Gay, Black and Married is honestly a disco album but 2009's Death Threat sees them getting back to a more industrial /acidic moods of the past on a few songs.

I liked a song here and there but overall just not a fan of the outrageous staged industrial music. I still play "Days of Swine and Roses" when the time permits at 80's night.
