Ok, so Vera got robbed on that decision. I guess the idea is to put Randy on fast track to title contention because he doesn't have a lot of time. Either way he'll never hold light heavy belt again, top 5 in the division would all demolish him at this point. His best strategy now is clinch scoring, and that won't work with Evans, Shogun, Machida, or even Griffin.

Brock seems to be out for the count. It appears his condition is getting worse and worse and he has been hospitalized for a while now. Another interim heavyweight belt fight is in the works. Carwin vs. Velsasquez would make the best sense I think.

i only saw the fight where Nogueira destroyed Cane. Not surprised though considering how dominating Minotouro was in Japan. He's got a great style; great boxing for MMA and a black belt in BJJ to keep it standing. Nobody wants to go to the ground with the Nogueira bros!

Yes he did an excellent job at dismantling Cane with speed and grace. My guess is he may be Griffin's next opponent maybe. I feel a bit bad for Griffin.

The only fight of his I've seen, he got his ass handed to him through most of the fight...and then he socked the guy in the face so hard he almost fell over himself, and the guy would out like a light. My buddy Gil made the Fedor character for UFC 2009 for the XBOX 360 and I can't beat him when he plays that.

As for Ortiz's injury, I believe it was legit, yes. A training injury. He says so at the end of the fight I believe, and everyone starts booing and he calls out them out on it.

Ortiz is a bitch. He hypes the fight, talks about how he is 100% awesome, days before the fight. Then when the fight does not go his way he whines about it. This is not the first time. Either don't bitch about your injuries since you were not willing to admit them before, or simply cancel the match due to injury. Crybaby.

by the way what's wrong with Lesnar?

He had mononucleosis and some additional bacterial infection. He was hospitalized and underwent some minor surgery according to sources. He is now recovering at home apparently, but a title match is out of the question according to Dana White who still wants him to go to a better hospital for observation. An interim belt match will be set up (Frank Mir fiasco anyone?). Probably Carwin/Velasquez or Carwin/Nogueira, that's my guess.

Well yeah, a little lopsided. He landed a few punches, but you have to admit the fight was pretty one-sided through most of it. Fedor got beat up pretty bad until he knocked the guy out. It was almost like he was toying with the guy though. They'd get into a clinch or whatever and Fedor would get beat a bit and then he'd just casually push the guy off like he could have done so all along. It was a weird fight.

As for Ortiz, yeah, he did say he was 100% before the fight and then blamed his loss on his injuries after. He's a bit of a whiner. That doesn't make the injury any less legit, whether it was gone or not before the fight and whether he was exaggerating it after or not.

jon jones looked awesome like usual. too bad about the DQ though. The Kimbo and Houston fight was TERRIBLE. the only good thing about it is when Houston got slammed hard in the 2nd.

Frankie Edgar was the best fight of the night for me. He should be in title contention soon if he keeps this up.

in terms of his health it wouldn't be so bad if it was one last fight he wanted against his arch rival but you just know that the itch to continue will be there if/when he wins. no doubt we are going to see some theatrics between the two of them on TUF. I still won't be interested in watching them fight again.

penn wins. no big surprise there. he outstruck sanchez 19 to 1(!) and stuffed 27(!) takedown attempts. i'm glad mir and florian both won just to shut up all the guida and kongo fanboys. i liked how guida immediately got up after being submitted to run around like a faggotron some more. that guy sucks. Mir completely dominated kongo like i expected. man, he's getting huge too! i hear he's trying to bulk up to compete with lesnar's size. i've never seen another fighter so obsessed and hell bent on beating another fighter.

it was nice to see both mir and florian take their opponents down with solid striking then finish with subs. i believe they both used rear naked chokes, right?
