Coworker was clearing out his garage and let me go through his vinyl. So I picked up:

Blondie - Eat to the Beat
The Clash - Combat Rock
Twister Sister - Come Out and Play
Ozzy Osbourne - Bark at the Moon
Flock of Seagulls - s/t
The Church - Starfish
Soft Cell - Non Stop Erotic Cabaret
Men at Work - Business as Usual
David Bowie - Diamond Dogs
Talking Heads - True Stories
The Breakfast Club soundtrack
Footloose soundtrack

They are all in near good condition. And I only wasted $25. Good day :woot

CK is a big Carter Family fan too. :rose

The Original Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers are the cornerstone of American Folk music.

If you get the Carter Family volume 2 box set, you'll have pretty much everything they ever recorded.

http://www.amazon.com/Volume-2-1935-194 ... y_m_text_c

This Jimmie Rodgers box has every song he ever recorded, with the exception of one song.

http://www.amazon.com/Recordings-1927-1 ... gy_m_img_c

I also highly recommend the following:

http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Releases- ... pd_sim_m_4

http://www.amazon.com/His-Bluegrass-Boy ... pd_sim_m_2

http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Sky-Boys/dp/ ... e+sky+boys

http://www.amazon.com/Classic-Cuts-1933 ... pd_sim_m_1

http://www.amazon.com/Delmore-Brothers- ... pd_sim_m_1

Britton, I need to send you some CD-Rs. I've got so much music that you need to hear if you're interested in discovering the roots of American Folk music. I've still got hundreds of blank discs because I rarely burn anything anymore.

There's an amazing Carter Family biography available. I'll send you a copy of that too.

Thanks for the list. I blew my wad for the month for the most part for entertainment expenditures, but I'll get a few of those you listed per month. I'd gladly take CD-R's of old timey stuff. :nanner

You've pretty much got everything now. :nanner

You have every song Jimmie ever recorded except "My time ain't long". I have no idea why it was left off that set.

JSP Records is a U.K. label, and they've released some great inexpensive sets. The sound quality on both of these sets is top notch. Both are dupes from the more expensive sets put out by the Bear Family label.

Yeah, those sets have a lot of music on them for 24 bucks. My Best of J. Rodgers is useless now. You want it?

I've already got everything, but thanks. :rose

You could donate it to your local library, or use it to indoctrinate someone else into the Jimmy Rodgers fan club. :D

Still sealed. Only $2.99. I usually don't order vinyl during the Summer months, but at this price, I figured I take a gamble.

These were only sold at the old Carter Family Fold. I've been looking for one of these for a while. unused. $9.00 shipped. I suppose I need to go buy some crayons. :lol
