Just picked this up. Haven't watched it yet but I was thinking Randy Rhoads was on this and he's not. It was filmed in June '82 3 months after Randy died and has Brad Gillis on it. I'm sure it's stlll awesome, but thought I'd give a heads-up in case anyone else wanted to buy it.

It's from June 19, 1982. I watched this when it aired on MTV on Halloween night in '82 and still have the original VHS we recorded it onto. GREAT Show, but overdubbed.

You Can't Kill Rock & Roll is my favorite song from Blizzard/Diary.

I wish it were included in this set.

My favorite song of his from that era is "Diary of A Madman". Love how it slowly builds from a mellow acoustic intro to a full metal rager. That's not included either. But all of those songs are excellent anyway.

Is this the same as the live CD? Cause that was a pretty good set.

No, that was all Sabbath material. This is all material from Ozzy's first 2 solo albums aside from 3 Sabbtah songs at the end.

I actually have the audience source of this show and Ozzy's voice was cashed at this point of the tour. The overdubs are the only thing that kind of suck, but other than that Ozzy's in full early-30's mode with high energy. Well worth the price!

I finally watched this tonight. It's pretty frigging awesome. My all-time favorite music, any genre, is what Ozzy did around this time. The stage show is pretty elaborate for Ozzy... I epsecially like Don Airey all by himself on the second floor playing 10 different sets of synths dressed in a monk robe. Also there's a midget Ozzy calls Ronnie. :lol There are overdubs which sucks because at these times Ozzy's mouth moves out of synch with the vocals. All in all though, i love it. It's also amazing how well Brad Gillis has the songs down... at this point I think it was only 3 months since Randy died. Ozzy has become a complete joke, but in my opinion this stuff here monumental.

Ozzy solo is solid gold up to The Ultimate Sin!

No Rest and No More Tears are good, but not great. Everything after has been ho-hum (Ozzmosis) to absolutely horrible (Down to Earth, Black Rain, Scream). Even those two new songs he did with Black Sabbath and the guest spots on Rob Zombie and Black Label Society songs have blown.

I agree. Don't care for "No More Tears", but "No Rest..." is mostly good. His first 4 are all excellent beginning to end.

Another thing is it was weird seeing the guy I know way more for Night Ranger up there belting out Ozzy/Randy riffs. :lol
