Undead is the most "brutal" album Barnes has done since The Bleeding. Torture sounds like the last four Cannibal Corpse albums. Which do you prefer? or

I doubt this will get much response but Undead for me pretty easily. Cannibal Corpse has been making death metal elevator music for a decade now and the last few SFU albums are least fun to listen to for their simplistic catchiness value. I don't expect much from them but I just can't listen to CC anymore. I don't think there has ever been another band in metal more stuck on autopilot than CC.

Cannibal Corpse. That may be the best SFU album in years, but I think the CC album is better.

Personally I think Undead is pretty killer and a weird return to form. I am also heavily biased as The Bleeding is my favorite Cannibal Corpse album and Undead has a slight The Bleeding vibe to it.
But along the lines with Crypto, Bloodthirst was the last original and lively Cannibal Corpse disc IMO. I dig their albums, but Torture bores me to tears. It's Kill Pt. 3 and I've kind of burned out on it.

Haven't listened to the either full album yet. Based on the preview tracks I'd go wtih Undead because the songs are pretty decent, definitely not the typical total crap from SFU, and because like Crypto said CC has been treading water for quite some time.

Barnes proved he still can get it up on Undead. The Wretched Spawn, Kill, Evisceration Plague, Torture all prove that Paul Mazurkiewicz needs more than two drum patterns and Barret and O'Brien need to muddy up their guitars for a change.
