L.A. Noire is waaaay more awesome than I thought it would be. It's thankfully not like GTA at all and it really immersive and kind of like how the first Shenmue made me feel as I was really walking around a small Japanese village, this kinda feels like I'm really in 1940's Los Angeles, down to the way they talked back then... with that old timey vocal swagger. It's pretty steeped in point and click gameplay, which is always a plus for me.

I hope they make more LA Noire games. Having a ball with it, even though sometimes I do get 3 out of 4 interrogation questions wrong. At least it's not like Phoenix Wright where if you get ONE question wrong, you fail.

While HUnted: The Demon's Forge looks great and plays well, has a nice gameplay all about it, the fucking game will own your ass even on casual setting if you play online. I guess people don't have a problem with single player because your other character is damn near invincible and can revive youi when you're down, but I was glad to see many online talking about how difficult it was so it means I'm n ot a pussy.

Just finished L.A. Noire for the 360. All cases (including the DLC cases), all street crimes, all monuments found, everything except finding all cars. I still need like 15, but fuck it, they're too hard to find. What an awesome experience it was though. I hope more DLC comes out soon and I hope in the future Rockstar does more games like this instead of GTA style.

With Rockstar you're going to see more games of varying open-worldish scenarios, from different teams. Like Red Dead Redemption, and LA Noir, and yes GTA V (well into development I hear) and I think the success of the last two and future success' will effect GTA to make it even more accessible to gamers that don't particularly care for their flagship series.

The last boss on Castlevania: Lament of Innocence is a cheating fuckhead! Keep shooting your dumb bullshit at me from all the way across the room so that I can't get near you, since my giant cross doesn't seem to affect you, which is totally fair.

Just finished Dragon Age 2. Loved it. Bastion comes out tomorrow so that'll hold me over until the DLC comes out for DA2 next week.

Downloaded and played Bastion for about an hour before work. One of the most amazing games I've ever played. When they said that narrator narrates everything you do, they're not kidding. And it's written in such a quirky way the narration NEVER gets old. A high-water mark for console RPG;s, or RPG's in general.

Bastion is the shit!
Best line from the narrator so far: "Just walks off the path to his death like it's nothing. Kid don't care".

Playing Uncharted 2: Drake's Fortune. One of the many games I got when I had the sciatica problem and couldn't sit for almost 9 months. Damn fun so far, forgot that had had a cool sense of humor.

Darksiders
Bought it for around 15 bucks. Pretty good. While it doesn't have the most original of gameplay, it's not a complete GOW clone like Dante's Inferno or Castlevania: Lords of Shadow were, it's still a cool game in it's own right...

Pac Man World on ps1
This is actually a really cool platformer. It rips of Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot, but it plays very fluidly with great controls and no loading stoppages. Very good camera.

I thought this game was like GOW mixed with the 3D Zelda's from the N64 days. I bought it when it came out, played about half way through where it got HARD AS SHIT and stopped.

I just finished where you meet up with Ulthane (that Scottish sounding demon with the hammer, if you don't remember), and I wanted to throw my controller through the TV a couple times trying to make it past this one part. Great game, thus far, though. Digging the story... Really looking forward to the sequel, too.

Darksiders is a sweet game, but those fucking bosses I'm maybe 3/4s' of the way through I bet and every time I think about picking it up again...the boss battle I left off at makes me think "pass".

If a demo doesn't leave me wanting more by the time it's over, it's not worth buying...
Hell, I don't think it captured my interest long enough to even finish the demo....

Hell, I don't think it captured my interest long enough to even finish the demo.... Shit, demos sometimes play nothing like the final game. I remember playing the demo for FF 12 for the PS2 and by the time it came out it was so different that it didn't seem like it was the same game I played the demo of. Also, demos have a habit of plopping you into a certain part of the game where you don't know what's going on, how controls work, etc. I never even bother playing any demos anymore.

The Darkness was like that for me. No thanks. That said, while I'm sure the Uncharted series is great, the demo did nothing to prove to me otherwise.
